New Hours This Fall

September 10, 2008

Hi everyone, the gymnastics people asked us if it would be possible for us to start at 2:00 instead of 1:00 on Saturdays, and we responded it would as long as we still got our two hours.  After checking with the school coordinator it turns out it is no problem, so our new Saturday time is from 2:00 to 4:00, as of this week.

For the next few weeks I will still arrive at 1:00 so everyone can get the information, but if we can all spread the news it would be seriously helpfull.  I am so excited about this year I can’t wait, but I will.  See you all soon,  Paul

September is here!

September 4, 2008

Wow!  Another year for our juggling club begins.  It was a great summer.

We took our two sons to Karlsruhe, Germany, for the European Juggling Convention.  Four days with thousands of other prop droppers in 30 degree weather.  It doesn’t get any better than this (at least for me).   We arrived in Karlsruhe in the early afternoon on the Tuesday and as soon as we had left our luggage in the hotel Rio we took the tram to the Europahalle.  I was there from 4:00 to 9:00 that evening before heading back for a shower and some much needed sleep.

The next morning after a quick bite I arrived at the Europahalle at 8:30 to warm up on the floor.  After doing a two hour contact juggling workshop and finishing at about 2:30, I realized I had yet to see any of my family that day.  It was not entirely surprising though, given the size of the area around the site devoted to juggling.  I don’t know how many acres, but there were lots.  Something for everyone.  Simply Google ” ejc2008″ for a look at a map of the site.

We left Karlsruhe on the train after 7:00 P.M. on the Friday, after being totally inspired by, well, everything. They sure know how to throw a juggling convention!  I slept amazingly well that night.  Looking forward to sharing some of our experiences with club members on Saturday at the school at 1:00 P.M.  Hope you can be there.

P.S. The ejc2009 is in the Basque region in Spain.  If you are anywhere nearby, drop in.  You’ll LOVE it.  Paul
